🤷🏼 How to update the Mobile FIRST extension (Chrome, Brave & Chromium)

Context

On Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera and other Chromium browsers, extensions are usually updated automatically in the background (often within a few hours after a release on the Chrome Web Store).

If you do not see a new feature or a fix yet, you can force an update check using the steps below. The procedure is almost the same on every Chromium browser — only the extensions page URL changes.

Firefox is not covered here: updates are managed by Mozilla. Open Add-ons and themes (about:addons) and check for updates there.

Step 1 — Open the extensions page

Copy and paste the address that matches your browser into the address bar, then press Enter:

Browser Extensions page URL
Google Chrome chrome://extensions
Brave brave://extensions
Microsoft Edge edge://extensions
Opera opera://extensions
Vivaldi vivaldi://extensions
Other Chromium Try chrome://extensions — it often works

Alternative: click the puzzle / extensions icon (top right), then Manage extensions.

Step 2 — Force extensions to update

On the extensions page, turn on Developer mode (toggle at the top right).
Click the Update button that appears at the top left. The browser checks every installed extension for a newer version on the store.
Wait a few seconds, then find Mobile simulator in the list and check the version number under the extension name.

No "Update" button? Your browser may have moved it or hidden it behind Developer mode. In this case the only way to update the extension is to uninstall and reinstall it.
