We changed the way files are downloaded to your computer in this version.

Previously, you could trigger a download without being asked for permission first. However, that method did not work reliably for all users.

We have therefore switched to using Google’s native API browser.downloads.download(), which is more stable and better managed, but it requires a one-time permission request.

We only use this permission to download the generated video to your computer — nothing else.
